The popularity of this pristine hardwood derives from the smoothness and durability provided by its naturally high oil content. All teak used in our products is grown in strictly controlled plantations in the Far East and West Africa. Its innate resistance to all weather extremes is further assured by our application of the highest quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process-from kiln drying to secure assembly joints using cross-dowelled mortice and tenon joints, brass and stainless steel fittings. These ensure for our teak products a lifespan in excess of 25 years.
Left untreated, teak will weather to a sophisticated silver grey without losing any of its characteristic strength and durability. The option to retain or restore the original golden brown hue of the timber is available using our specially formulated range of care products.
